Dry hands, hangnails or ragged cuticles

Dry hands, hangnails or ragged cuticles

Dry hands, hangnails and ragged cuticles can be painful and unsightly. Whether it’s from environmental factors like cold, winter weather and low humidity or it’s genetic, many of us suffer from dry skin. Frequent washing or sanitizing can make this problem even worse. But there are simple steps we can take to ensure that our hands look and feel their healthiest.

First, it’s important to moisturize throughout the day. Sometimes heavy creams, salves and balms are not practical for day use because they leave hands feeling greasy. Our Denco Naturals Hand & Cuticle Repair Cream is a great alternative because it delivers deep moisture in a light, quick absorbing formula. The 4.1 oz tube is also long lasting, but still sized to keep in a purse, bag or desk drawer. We recommend rubbing the cream into hands, cuticles and nails in the morning, before bed and after washing them.

In addition to moisturizing, we can eliminate hangnails and keep our cuticles looking their best with some simple maintenance. We recommend soaking the nails in warm, soapy water to soften the cuticles, then rinsing and patting them dry. Using a Cuticle Pusher, carefully push back all of the excess cuticle that has crept onto the nail plate. After this has been done, use Cuticle Scissors, Cuticle Nippers or a Cuticle Trimmer to snip off the pushed-back cuticle and any hangnails. Use caution and do not cut live skin. Finish by rubbing a small amount of Hand & Cuticle Repair Cream into the cuticle and nail area.
